Palm Sunday, April 10th 2022 - Festival worship for the 100th anniversary of Hope Church with guest preacher Bishop Patricia Lull. Apologies for the lower-quality audio, as our setup was flawed. 

Maundy Thursday, April 14th, 2022 - our final worship in our historic space with Pastoral Intern Per Halaas. 

Easter Sunday, April 17th, 2022 - Pastor Andrew in our first worship as a rental congregation in our new space, the chapel at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church on Arcade and Larpenteur.

His reflections on the shooting of Jacob Blake and the deaths of other Black and brown people at the hands of the state intersect with the prophetic words of Jeremiah, Paul, and Jesus to weave a powerful image of what it means for us to take up our cross. This week we hosted Day Camp with Living Water Ministries, so our Gospel lesson came from the camp program rather than from the lectionary. In today's sermon we get to hear from a set of kids who attended day camp this week. What did they enjoy? What did they learn? Is this what the reign of God looks like?

Pastor Joshua tells of his life in Democratic Republic of Congo, his time starting a church in a refugee camp in Malawi, his introduction to the United States in Minnesota, and finally his new life and ministry here in Kalamazoo.

He joined us to help celebrate our Pentecost, 50 years of Lutheran Church of the Savior's ministry. We spent two years preparing for the Holy Spirit to transform our congregation in our Pentecost, and this sermon speaks of some of the fruits the Spirit has already cultivated during this time. We are grateful to Bishop Satterlee for sharing this celebration with us today.
